About Robby Luyken

You don’t need a fancy degree, a viral moment, or a million followers to build a business you’re proud of.

You need two things: real strategy and great copy.

My mission is to help entrepreneurs and creators turn their ideas into powerful words — and build a business that feels good to run and makes real money.

My Story:

Picture this: It’s August 2017. I’m 18, sitting in my attic room in the Netherlands — laptop on my knees, headphones blasting lo-fi beats — Googling “how to make money online” like my life depends on it.

I wasn’t some entrepreneurial prodigy (I’m the first ever within my family). School wasn’t working out either — I was lowkey drifting through it, completely unmotivated and knowing deep down it wasn’t my path.

I was just a kid who couldn’t shake the feeling that there had to be more than clocking into a job I hated for the next 40 years.

So I started – next to my part-time job as a waiter – selling random products on bol.com (the Dutch Amazon).

Most days, it felt like throwing spaghetti at the wall — launching products, losing money, refreshing my sales page every 5 minutes hoping for a miracle.

But deep down, every late night, every tiny sale… it lit a fire.

I knew I wasn’t meant for the safe, traditional path. I just didn’t know how to escape it yet.

“One of my first projects — creating merch for my friend and influencer Yordi.”

For a long time, I wasn’t standing still.

I was moving — but in circles.

Chasing the next big thing. Jumping from one shiny opportunity to the next.

SMMA. Crypto. Network marketing. Forex trading. Consulting. Facebook Ads. Dropshipping…

If it promised freedom, I tried it.

Every time, I told myself, “Maybe this is it. Maybe this time it’ll work.”
But every time, I ended up stuck in the same brutal cycle:

Getting excited about a new opportunity. Feeling like this time it’s different.

Crashing into the Valley of Despair — that moment when the hype fades and the real work begins.

Giving up when progress felt too slow or too hard…

Feeling defeated… and starting all over again.

I wasn’t lazy.

I was working hard — but without the right focus, without real skills behind me.

And every failed attempt didn’t just cost me money.

It chipped away at my confidence. It made me question whether success was even meant for people like me.

But deep down, I knew there had to be a better way. Therefore, in 2020, I made a different kind of decision.

I stopped chasing quick wins.
I committed fully to copywriting and freelancing — no Plan B.

I took a gap year, packed a bag, booked a one-way ticket to Asia, and decided I would figure it out for real this time.

Bangkok. Tokyo. Hoi An. Vegas.
Three continents. Seven countries. A thousand lessons.

Some days, I felt unstoppable — sending cold proposals from rooftop cafés, feeling momentum build for the first time.

Other nights, I questioned everything — wondering if I was just another dreamer who had taken it too far.

Rejection emails. Bad clients. Missed flights.
Every failure stung. But every small win reminded me why I started.

That season didn’t just teach me how to survive…

It taught me how to bet on myself when no one else could see it yet.

Here’s the truth nobody tells you:

Success doesn’t feel like fireworks or some grand epiphany. It feels like small decisions you make every single day — to keep going when no one’s clapping yet.

Over time, those tiny decisions changed everything.

Today, I write high-converting copy for multiple 8- and 9-figure coaches and creators….

I was ranked in the Top 3% of marketers on Upwork for over 9 months…

I’m a proud Copywriting Mentor inside the CopyPosse — helping new copywriters hone their craft…

I built Founding Friends Academy to teach ambitious beginners how to turn their skills into profitable freelance businesses

But more importantly — I built the life I once only daydreamed about.
One where freedom isn’t just an idea. It’s real.

And now? My mission is simple:

To help you turn your skills and ideas into a business and life you’re genuinely proud of — through powerful words, sustainable strategies, and a relentless belief in what’s possible.

Because if I can do it — so can you.
